Sewed, glued and tattooed.

Upgrade. I love every inch of this tee. I loved making it. I love how it turned out. (Get it? Get it? Turned out? It can be worn both ways.)  Inside out. Can't get outfluencier than this.

What is an #outfluencer? That's probably the first question that pops to mind when seeing the title of this post. I could make this post long and annoying with explanations on how I feel about the flood of influencers brainwashing us into thinking we're not interesting, pretty or good enough to lead the amazing lives they seem to live. What I have realised troughout the years of following and admiring some of them is, that their lives may not be as perfect as they seem. So I don't want in. I want over. I want beyond. I want above. I want out. Thus the #outfluencer was born. Over and #out.

My latest sewing achievement is reuse of an old T-shirt's design. Totally bragging with the end result first. One of my favourite people on this planet was kind enough to provide me with money I needed to start my sewing practice, so in return I promised to surprise him with some of my first masterpieces. I needed a pattern to begin with and because our sewing store is superlame considering pattern supply, he provided an old tee for me to unthread and use as pattern. There was only one condition- to preserve and reuse the tee's design. Here's how the original tee looked like, but was in a considerably worse state. I borrowed the image of  Threadless  original site. It took some cutting, fabric gluing and hours of very thorough stitching to get to the final result. Very proud of the outcome. (Don't say a prayer for me now.) Save it til the morning after.

One of my goals in 2019 is to start my own clothing brand. Y'all be like: "Whoa, girl, you don't just go squandering your dreams around!" But there it is, Google. Now you know. I have started with T-shirts and am working on a low quality hoodie right now (bacause still practicing). I want to create a colourful, wild brand, where I intend to combine my love for colours and patterns with my chosen career- I am a social worker with a degree in mental health and am working in this field for almost ten years now. So the motto here is: the crazier the better. But also keeping it stylish. My sister ordered a three T-shirt pack for her boys. Happy wearers. Supposably too gayish  Star Trek  T-shirt (according to my friend). A male, yes. And this is my (an entire salary worth) baby. Mmmmmmm. Ready for more?

I promise you, this will not turn into some influencer-influenced post about how pursuing my dream helped me escape my mediocre wage-slaved life and am now freely and happily running into sunsets on some sandy beach in Bali. (At least not yet.) But I did have a dream (and still have many) and I've made a tiny step towards pursuing it. Since I can remember, I dreamed about becoming a fashion designer (or a witch, but I went for the more realiable option). I'm not saying my style is anywhere beyond average. I look like any random girl you meet along the way. But... I like patterns, needles and colours. So I'm now taking sewing lessons and I invested a small fortune into a sewing machine. And all I'm saying is: It. Makes. Me. Happy. That's all there is to it. If you find what makes you happy, go for it. Even if it doesn't take you to Bali. Even if it makes you happy just for three hours per week. It's worth it. That's more real happiness some people...

Zadnje čase imam ustvarjalno zatišje. Čas poskušam zapravljati za stvari, ki jim dolgo nisem posvečala pozornosti. Veliko spim. Berem. Delam to-do liste. Gledam filme z lestvice IMDB Top 250. Zdaj sem pri nekje 78. mestu. Delam še več to-do list. Vmes se je znašla tudi nuja, da se naučim Jacksonove muve iz Thrillerja. In tako ostane bore malo časa za šivanke in barvice in čopiče. Ampak tale je pa za motivacijo. Ob glasbeni spremljavi. Lately I suffer from a lack of creativity. I try spending time on things, I haven't been paying much attention. Sleeping a lot. Reading. Making to-do lists. Watching movies from IMDB Top 250 list. I'm somewhere around 78th place a the moment. Making more to-do lists. In between came also an urge to learn Jacko's moves from Thriller. Thus leaving a very small amount of time for needles and crayons and brushes. But this one is for motivation. Accompanied by music.

Sneg ima zame mnogo sopomenk. Mraz. Mokri čevlji. Mraz. Čiščenje snega z avta. Mraz. Pasji kakci pod snegom, ki jih odkriješ šele spomladi. Na svojem obuvalu, seveda. Mraz. Čeprav imam toplo jakno, nove megagojzarje (preprosto ni mogoče, da premočijo), ni mi treba v službo, na pasje kakce bo pa najbrž treba še lep čas počakat, me sneg še vedno spravlja v slabo voljo. In potem pade kakšna solza. Ali pa je to samo želja po dežnih kapljah? Snow has many synonyms for me. Cold. Wet shoes. Cold. Cleaning snow off the car. Cold. Dog poo hiding under the snow, to be discovered in spring. On your shoe, of course. Cold. Although I have a warm jacket, new megahiking boots (100% waterproof), I do not have to go to work, the dog poo will likely have to wait for some time, snow still puts me in a bad mood. And then some tears may drop. Or is it just a desire for raindrops?
